Complete solutions - Cord blood collection system
Co-operating closely with our customer we have developed a successful
system to collect and cryopreserve umbilical cord blood. The established
technologies for this are aseptic filling of solutions, e.g. anti-coagulant (CPD)
as well as a highly specialised steam sterilisation of the products in their
outer packaging to produce externally sterile sets in the operating theatre
(i.e. for caesarean sections).
The capacity of our steam sterilisation equipment currently limits the
production of larger quantities of standard blood bags/blood bag systems.
